Dr. Miguel Caminos Velazquez, DVM

I grew up in Mexico city. I’ve always loved animals, and that prompted me to study Veterinary Medicine. During University I worked with horses, cats and dogs. After graduation I spent a year working with shrimps, fishes and reefs in the Caribbean. I wanted to expand my experience, so I moved to Canada, where I’ve been working since 2022. I’ve also completed two internships, a rotational one, and another one with an emphasis on surgery and exotics.

The areas in Veterinary Medicine that I enjoy the most are Internal Medicine (solving tough and tricky cases), ultrasound and oncology. But the thing I like to do the most out of all, is working with senior patients. I believe we owe our older friends to provide the best quality of life possible, and to me that means provide evidence-based Medicine, empathy, and a tons of pain-free days
