Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) Appointments
What Is an RVT Appointment?
Our Registered Veterinary Technicians are certified, licensed professionals trained to care for your pet directly. A lot of what your pet needs regularly does not require a veterinarian, and can be booked with one of our RVTs instead.
RVT appointments cover routine care such as nail trims, anal gland expressions and therapeutic injections. These appointments are usually quicker, and cost less than a full veterinary consultation.
Nail trims are $42.00 and anal gland expression is $47.25. Therapeutic injections, including Librela for arthritis pain, start from $109.10.
Our technicians are registered with the province and keep their training current. They work alongside our veterinarians, so if anything comes up during your pet’s appointment that needs a doctor, we will tell you right away.

Prices are for the technician appointment itself. If your pet needs to see a veterinarian as well, we will let you know before anything is added. Every pet is different. Your veterinarian will give you a written estimate for your pet’s specific needs after examining them, and nothing goes ahead until you have agreed to it.
